So if you have been following along I recently won a 2000 dollar gift card for Lazy Boy Galleria. I picked up the gift card yesterday and we spent it today. We bought two rocker recliners and a new three bulb light for the livingroom. It's going to take a couple of weeks for the recliners to be delivered and we need to pick up the lamp but we are excited. Total cost to us for our shopping trip $250 (taxes etc on the light). Now all we need to do is figure out the livingroom arrangement and where the sectional pieces we are not using are going to go.
Went to Red Lobster (Portage Ave) last night with Dave and Jenn. Had a great time, awesome conversation, and a great laughs. Since I was the only one at the table not armed (or legged) with crab, I am glad I was not pummelled with crab bits and juices. Made the night even more rememberable.
Well I got notification from Logitech that my refurbished trackball has been released for RMA. Customer Service note: take a little bit longer you might piss off even more people.
I ordered the replacement trackball yesterday - according to Canada Post it will be here by Tuesday. I think this is the first purchase I have made in a while where I am really excited about getting it, installing it, and using it. For anyone that has experienced the "pound the mouse on the desk", "blowing out the dust from the mouse", or "make the mouse take air" will understand the frustration I have had for the past 2 months (approx).
Kensington I have high expectations.
I have been a long time user of Logitech mice, keyboards, and most recently trackballs for my computing needs. Two years ago, I purchased the M570 trackball. Everything about the unit was great - 3 year warranty, 5 programmable buttons, ergonomic, wireless, and compatible with Macs and Windows PCs.
Well for the past couple of months, my trackball started to randomly double-click when I wanted a single left click only. Being the geek I am, I started looking at the software configuration (settings, version, etc) and then moved to battery issues. At the beginning of May, I jumped into the Logitech forums to see if there are any other suggestions. I found one - pull the battery, randomly click all buttons for 15-30 seconds, restore battery and should be fine. At first this worked for 1-2 weeks, and then quickly declined (I am lucky if I can single click within a hour of doing this process). Remembering (not really saw it on the forums) the warranty, I submitted the claim. It has been 10 days since Logitech's last communication with me (even though I have submitted two requests for update).
Assholes. Today I will be picking up a Kensington trackball from Staples. Here's hoping Logitech continues its downward trend to absolute failure.
